Dropped Calls

Created by Sagecom Support, Modified on Tue, 8 Aug, 2023 at 11:42 PM by Sagecom Support

Dropped calls may occur due to a failure or misconfiguration on either side of the call or within Softswitch itself. Several reasons why this may occur are listed below.

  1. SIP ALG is enabled in the router.
  2. Disabled Keep Alives (see this article)
  3. Device firmware bugs - we recommend that you use the latest firmware since it may contain a bug fix for your issue).
  4. Failure during codecs re-negotiation often helps limit the number of codecs to the most commonly used: PCMU/PCMA and G729.
  5. Dropped on hold - see bullet 4 above. For Grandstream devices, please activate "Use First Matching Vocoder in 200OK SDP".

If the above recommendations did not help - please open a ticket with Support after finding the corresponding H323-Conf-ID.
