Sagecom enables you to easily use Messaging in four ways:

  • SMS Notifications which you send to your customers.
  • Mass SMS Notifications
  • Individual Messaging between your customers and the PSTN.
  • Free On-Net Messaging.

For both SMS and MMS, we use the HTTP protocol.

Sagecom bills your outbound Off-Net messages as one minute of traffic, with free inbound and On-Net messages.

System Notifications:

This lets you send SMS to your customers for billing-related notifications.  SMS Notifications can be integrated into your services via our cloud-based switching and billing platform. You can configure your SMS notifications for payments, collections, password changes, special promotions, targeted offers, fraud prevention, and other options.  These notifications can be enabled for every customer class.

Mass SMS Notifications

This adds a new option to the customer self-care interface, allowing your customer to send an SMS to multiple numbers at the same time.  These can be used for your customer’s advertising campaigns or other communications needs.

SMS Notifications can be sent via any supported SMS provider.  In order to use Sagecom to send mass notifications the provider must be integrated into our platform via API.

Individual Messaging

Individual Messaging enables your customers to send/receive SMS and MMS to/from the PSTN using our Softphone solutions and various UAs .  This requires specially-enabled DIDs from our DID provider.  Please note that supporting a DID provider for MMS requires testing on your part.

Free On-Net Messaging

Sagecom offers free On-Net Messaging between your users for both text and other media.

Once your account has been established with SMS provider, our Support team can provide more details on how to configure messaging with services you provide via our switch. Please open a trouble ticket and describe the type of messaging you would like to configure.

NOTE: MMS can be sent and received by every provider that supports MMS
