1. Static IP address
For customers with a static IP address it is necessary to create an account with an ID equal to an IP address. All requests that come from that IP address will be authorized against the IP account. An additional level of security can be achieved by using the IP authorization in conjunction with the digest authorization.
There are a few ways how a SIP trunk with a customer’s PBX can be established. Among them are creation of an IP account (as we mentioned above), register each DID number on the system separately or using one general account with aliases associated with them. When the creation of an IP account is not an option for your specific customer, it is still possible to limit account(s) to specific IP address(es).
The configuration consists of the following steps:
-
Create a new Geo/Risk profile where all countries to be considered as a high-risk area. Mark the option to reject calls without any further actions. Please refer to the screenshot below.
- Go to the product settings associated with the account to enable the Fraud Detection service feature. All related options can be seen at Service Configuration -> Voice calls -> Fraud Detection and in result it should look like below.
- Proceed to the account settings and add one or a few legitimate IP addresses for this customer under the Temporary Locations section of the Fraud Protection tab:
2. Configure Roaming profiles
3. Configure Spending Plan
